Esprit raise £535 for the ‘When You Wish Upon a Star’ Foundation
Over the course of the last year Esprit staff have raised £535 for the ‘When You Wish Upon a Star’ Foundation as part of Esprit’s ’10 years of Innovation’ celebrations.
‘When You Wish Upon a Star’ aim to make magical memories for children with life threatening diseases and their family to remember for a lifetime.
The presentation was made by Ben Mutton to corporate fundraiser for the East Midlands Sarah Madden on the 18th January.
Esprit would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who has donated over the course of the last year, every pound really does make a difference to this fantastic cause.

ShareCare PDS Integration Moves into Witness Test
Esprit is one of the social care solution providers involved in the Social Care PDS Early Adopter (SCPEA) Programme. The programme will prove the viability of linking Local Authority social care systems to the Personal Demographic Service, enabling practitioners to identify service user information more accurately and facilitating greater information sharing between social care and health.
Between March 21st and April 8th 2011 staff from Esprit and Connecting for Health (CfH) will be carrying out Witness Testing of ShareCare’s integration with the PDS at our Derby offices. The Witness Test is a key stage in the CfH Common Assurance Process acting as a gateway into User Acceptance Testing and live deployment.
Esprit’s partner in the SCPEA process is East Cheshire Council where a full go live of the PDS enabled release of ShareCare is planned for Summer 2011.
Esprit’s ‘Now we are 10′ charity events!
Following on from our announcement that during Esprit’s tenth year we will be supporting ‘When You Wish Upon A Star’, Esprit is pleased to announce some of the events that will commence over the coming months to raise as much money for the charity as possible.

New Employees Join Esprit
April 2010 welcomed the additions of Gillian Lane and Ben Mutton to the team in Derby.
Gillian will be based in the project delivery team.
For the majority of Gillian’s working career, she has focused on delivering services to the public sector. Before joining Esprit as Client Services Manager, Gillian worked for McKesson UK for almost 5 years. She joined them initially to work on the ESR (Electronic Staff Record) rollout of an integrated, single HR and payroll system within the NHS in England and Wales, and later to setup a new Consulting team delivering Workforce solutions for the NHS. Prior to McKesson, Gillian worked for Talis Information Solutions, a UK-based software house which provided library software and services to local authorities, universities and colleges. Gillian is covering Tracey Griffiths maternity leave. Tracey left Esprit in May to have her second child. Good luck Tracey!
Ben will be based in the commercial team with specific focus on sales and marketing.
Ben has over two and a half years experience in the commercial and public sector sphere since leaving university in 2008. Before joining Esprit as Sales and Marketing Executive, Ben was employed by Nowcomm a Cisco systems reseller based in Derby. Whilst in this role Ben focused on several elements within the sales team including new business sales, account management and direct marketing.
Esprit and ‘When You Wish Upon A Star’…..
Esprit celebrates 10 successful years in business in 2010 and to mark this milestone we have launched a staff initiative to support the children’s charity ‘When You Wish Upon A Star’. The charity is based locally in Nottingham and aims to grant the wishes of terminally ill children.
Staff at Esprit have put forward ideas and voted for the ‘top 10′ charity events that will be the basis for our campaign and we will be aiming to raise at least £500 over the year.
